An aging roof, a fixed budget, and an occupied elementary school.
The existing roof had reached the end of its useful life. The District needed a complete solution that would stop ongoing leaks, protect daily school operations, remain within available funding, and reduce the likelihood of another major capital expense in the near future.

02 · Evaluation
We compared complete alternatives instead of prescribing one answer.
Paper Plane Architecture evaluated three replacement strategies and prepared complete bid packages so the District could compare actual market pricing—not conceptual allowances—before selecting a system.
Each option was reviewed against initial cost, expected performance, manufacturer warranty, anticipated maintenance, and long-term value. This gave the Owner the information needed to make a deliberate capital decision rather than simply accepting the first available specification.
